GINKGO BILOBA TEA

Ginkgo (ginkgo biloba) is written in Chinese 銀杏, but the older Chinese name for this tree is 銀果, meaning "Silver Fruit" but nowadays people use the Mandarin pronunciation "Yínguó.
Gingkos biloba tress are large trees, normally reaching the height of 20-35 mtr. (66-115 ft) is a unique species of tree with no close living relatives.
A Combination of resistance to disease, insect resistant wood and the ability to form aerial roots and sprouts make gingkos long-lived, with some specimens claimed to be more than 2.500 years ago.
For centuries it was thought to be extinct in the wild, but it now known to grow in at least two small areas in Zhenjiang Province in Eastern China, in the Tian Mu Shan Reserve.
The traditional Chinese medicine is well known to aid in memory function and circulation.


















HOW TO PREPARE THE TEA

In a big mug of 300 ml. (10 fl.oz) is more than enough 2 tea spoon of GINKGO BILOBA leaves, putting into the teapot and pour in hot water to 93ºC (199ºF) steeping for the first serving no more than 5 minutes previously to rinse the leaves with a quickly pouring of water.
